The Roadshows programme is still rolling on with recent visits to Dumfries, Aberdeen and a return visit to Inverness. The speakers at Dumfries were Mr. Donald Rennie of Edinburgh and Mr. Matthew Pumphrey of Dumfries. The theme was agricultural law and Donald Rennie covered the framework of succession to farms, conveyancing points and miscellaneous situations in which agricultural law might appear in the course of a transaction. Mr. Pumphrey gave practical examples of typical local problems. The lectures were sufficient to convince those of us who do not practise in this area of law not to do so and to leave it to the experts! It is hoped to publish articles based on their texts in due course.

By the time this issue is published there will have been a Roadshow in Glasgow on 27th May and another is planned for Elgin in mid June. If you would like a visit in your area, please let us know Suggestions of topics and identification of suitable venues will be appreciated.

We hope to see as many as possible of our members at the AGM in Crieff, a full report of which will appear in the extra edition of the Gazette planned for August.

Please let us have your ideas for any future activities and please help us to recruit new members.
