A new article on the opening of an extension to the ASPC is now avaliable to members.
The new Convener is Mr. Andrew Anderson of Kilmarnock and the Vice-convener, Mr. Kenneth Swinton of Dundee. The committee is concentrating its efforts on examining the Feudal Tenure etc. (Scotland) Bill, the most major revision of land tenure of our time and therefore worthy of careful study.
The convener attended a meeting of the Research Advisory Group monitoring the PDSO pilot scheme and the Society will continue to be involved in on-going consultation.
The main pre-occupation of the committee is how to recruit new members. If the Society is to grow and provide the service to its members which it would like to deliver, it is essential that membership levels are kept at a good level.
